Fall is the time to feel Gourd-geous!

Happy Fall Friends!

The weather has finally decided to turn cooler here in the Central Valley of California! We have had small tastes of Fall here and there during September but Summer kept showing back up and messing with our emotions!

September was a busy month for me in the business! I launched a new scent, "Adelita", and it was a hit! I don't think I have ever had so many orders for one item before! Due to it's popularity, I will be adding it to the everyday scents collection. It is the second scent that has been inspired by someone I know and I plan on sharing those stories with you more often.

Also, in September I started a partnership with Nichol at NK Designs and Gifts in Merced. Nichol and I have been friends for a while and met while doing work serving youth in our churches. She has a great love for kids, Jesus and crafts! Her store specializes in custom DIY projects and is way less expensive than those same franchise companies that keep popping up! She has started a Gift Shop in her craft store and The Basket Case products will be available at her store!

During the month of October, if you buy anything (there are some other really great vendors in the gift shop) from the gift shop at NK Designs, you'll be entered into a drawing for $10 off your next paint project! On October 12th, there will be an Open Paint and Shop Event at the store. You'll be able to meet the other vendors, do a paint project, FREE face painting.... It's going to be a great event for all ages! You can even make a day of it! If you have small kids, the Applegate Zoo and Park is just one street away. It would make for a great and inexpensive treat day. Have older kids? Merced has a Nickel Arcade! Sounds totally cheesy but my family loves it and can spend hours there without breaking the bank! (And there's no animatronic mouse!) Tip: Bring cash!

Lastly, this Friday I will be at DOMO First Friday Market in Downtown Modesto. If you have never been to this market you are missing out! The 10th Street Plaza and surrounding streets are turned into a giant handmade artisan fair! There are also food trucks, specialty food vendors, musicians, dancers and lots of great places to just hand out with friends and family. This month there is also an international mural competition so come and enjoy that too! It runs from 6pm- 10 pm. Parking is available in the garage.
